Key performance indicators, such as Gain Output Ratio (GOR) and specific energy consumption, are discussed to evaluate and compare system effectiveness. Additionally, the impact of different design parameters and environmental conditions on system performance is explored. The findings suggest that optimized HDH configurations can significantly enhance freshwater yield and energy efficiency, making them viable options for addressing global water scarcity challenges.
